Well, you just explained in another mail that doing a cvs update
may have caused this, cause I didn't touch any Makefile.ins.
I strongly prefer that the sequence "cvs update -d; ./configure; make"
does *NOT* depend in *ANY* way on having automake or even gmake
even installed, let alone the right or future versions (cvs) of that
software.
Please, please fix this.
Make invoking automake a separate command, like "gmake automake"
or some such -- this way, only people in the know will be confronted
with the FATAL ERRORs or installation dependencies.
I really, really, do not like it if there's a potential that
people download, check out or update kaffe and all hell breaks lose
when they type "./configure; make"
What do others think?
