Has anyone looked at this yet?

I've just discovered libxml (and switched to libxml2 - hope it doesn't
break anything. v2.2.2) and discovered that the URL parser can't handle
ipv6 defined addresses...
ie: http://[::1]:80 == http://localhost:80

I'm just wondering if it's something that's even being paid attention to.
Now I'm -not- at this time writing code for gnome - I'm using libxml2 in
an external package. (and all I'm using at this time is the uri parser).
The package I'm writing already has ipv6 support so it made sense to look
into this....

G'day, eh? :)
