TechOnline University is now hosting a course on embedded programming in
the Java language, authored by me. The course is divided into 6 modules,
each requiring roughly half an hour of time. The first modules are
directed towards embedded programmers who may not be familiar with
object-oriented concepts and Java. The later modules provide hints and
suggestions regarding the special considerations that are appropriate when
targeting Java to an embedded environment. These later modules are
appropriate for expert Java programmers who want to transfer their skills
to the embedded domain.
The course is free, but you do have to register. Visit TechOnLine
University at http://www.tolu.com
I am working on a second course describing principles and techniques for
real-time programming with extensions for the Java platform.
