More specifically, this happens if someone sets CLASSPATH to
"classes.zip" from Sun's distribution, as was required before 1.0b1.
Many people still remember that.
How about this: let's add some identifiers (like
"private static int _kaffe_version_10b3;") to essential Kaffe classes, maybe
even only to java.lang.Object, and when we don't see it when loading it,
we say: you idiot set your classpath wrong or some such.
