I think adding an auto jar detecter is a good idea (I put one into Kaffe
at one point but I think someone removed it - though I've not checked
recently). The proper place for it is probably in the C kaffe code
(it'd be fast there too) rather than in the shell code - but I suppose
it doesn't matter that much either way.
