I tried to install gdome on HP UNIX.
when I ran the script "autogen.sh", it reports error message:
checking for GTK - version >= 0.99.7... no
*** Could not run GTK test program, checking why...
*** The test program failed to compile or link. See the file config.log
for the
*** exact error that occured. This usually means GTK was incorrectly
installed
*** or that you have moved GTK since it was installed. In the latter
case, you
*** may want to edit the gtk-config script: /u/song/gnu/bin/gtk-config
So that I went to install gtk+, but script 'configure' complains that
GLIB is not
correctly installed. Glib is there, and PATH, LD_LIBRARY_PATH,
SHLIB_PATH are all set correctly.
--- the error message is:
checking for GLIB - version >= 1.2.8... no
*** Could not run GLIB test program, checking why...
*** The test program failed to compile or link. See the file config.log
for the
*** exact error that occured. This usually means GLIB was incorrectly
installed
*** or that you have moved GLIB since it was installed. In the latter
case, you
*** may want to edit the glib-config script: /u/song/gnu/bin/glib-config
configure: error:
*** GLIB 1.2.8 or better is required. The latest version of GLIB
*** is always available from ftp://ftp.gtk.org/.
any help is appreciated.
Thank you,
