at that point this is no more XML elements parsing/saving, and I think
this should be kept as is, as we won't generate text nodes for this
anyway.

I will propagate the first fix in 2.2.8 and see if people complain.
I don't think this will annoy people as this is is simply a libxml 1.x
to 2.x change I simply forgot to propagate.
