I though that this one built and installed on Linux without a hitch
until I noticed that the xmlversion.h file hadn't gotten installed.
The Makefile installs xmlversion.h.in instead.
On the win32 front, the win32config.h file seems to have vanished from the
tar file. I snagged an older version, tweaked the xmlversion.h file to
turn off ICONV and DEBUG, and proceeded to built the library with only one
minor problem -- Makefile.mingw needed to be updated to include the
xpointer.o object file. The change is so simple, I didn't included a
patch.
