Hi.

First thanks Daniel for the code.

I have compiled the libxml2-2.2.2 library and some of the utilities
(xmllint,
testHTML, testSAX) with zlib support without to much trouble and started to
play
with them.

And the library can't use remote files (http) at least in win2k sp1,
looking at
the code (nanohttp.c) it appears to have modifications to run with windows
(winsock2). But them appears incomplete. (no WSAStartup call, read instead
of recv,
errno instead of WSAGetLastError, etc.)

I can try to complete the port (if somebody hasn't already made it) and try
not to uglyfy (too much) the code.
