i found the "XML Pocket-Reference" quite good
http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/xmlpr/

as long as you really need it "DocBook: The Definitive Guide"
will awake strange hidden voices in your head

a total lemon is "SAMS:Teach yourself XML in 21 days"

after i read the amazon-page of the "XML Specification Guide"
you mentioned, i ordered it right away :)
