[xml] libxml-1.8.7 issues

I installed libxml-1.8.7 on AIX 4.2 and get 4 duplicate symbols when
building tester:
p_xargc,p_xargv,p_xrc,p_xrcfg, but can't find these symbols in .o files.
Also, this version fixes the blank data problem (yes!), but doesn't emit
any text nodes when there is a comment right after the first line; e.g.,
<?xml version="1.0"?><!-- comment--><data>...</data>. Any help would be
appreciated
