Formally no, though Mathias Hasselmann <Mathias.Hasselmann@gmx.de>
did look at it. Considering its size it may be as good to have it
as a separated library. I dunno exactly it depends really how
bit it ends up.

Yep go for it, I will for the moment focuse on 2.0 release:
- I18N and spec compliance
- Internal memory structures cleanup
- I'm also adding a small FTP front-end (nanoftp)
so extra bits like XSLT or Schemas won't get my direct attention
until those parts are finished.
