  Hum, strange:

Can you double-check the following ?
[root@orchis /root]# rpm -qf /usr/lib/libxml.so.1.7.4
libxml-1.7.4-SNAP
[root@orchis /root]# nm /usr/lib/libxml.so.1.7.4 | grep htmlParseDoc
0002ccc0 T htmlParseDoc
0002b540 T htmlParseDocTypeDecl
0002c600 T htmlParseDocument
[root@orchis /root]# rpm -qf /usr/lib/libxml.a
libxml-devel-1.7.4-SNAP
[root@orchis /root]# nm /usr/lib/libxml.a | grep htmlParseDoc
00003d80 T htmlParseDoc
00002780 T htmlParseDocTypeDecl
00003750 T htmlParseDocument
[root@orchis /root]# ls -l /usr/lib/libxml.so.1
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 15 Dec 11 13:42 /usr/lib/libxml.so.1 -> libxml.so.1.7.4
[root@orchis /root]#

 The RPMs as found at ftp://rpmfind.net/pub/veillard/ are definitely
compiled with the HTML (this is not a configure option)
