Whatever, I can even produce the diff mylself if it is really a problem,
in taht case send me directly the modified files.

The main point which was the use of CHAR was removed a few weeks ago.
All .c files have some kind of initial template checking for WIN32 and
otherwise including the config.h, if you can create a winconfig.h and
modify the template, it will be easy to incorporate the changes. Then
WIN32 compiler/system specific issues should be handled in the winconfig.h
I assume that the WIN32 define is a "standard" define on the Windows
platform (and that it will remain so).
