I compile with gcc -O2 -Wall -pedantic -g and Insure++ with all
the warnings turned on.
My version of gcc doesn't report enumerated <-> int that's all.
I actually think that the C standard allow to cast them very liberally
and your compiler is the only I know who ever reported those. Admittedly
I only use gcc and Insure++
