XLink Principles

XLink defines the following:

• A namespace (usually prefixed as "xlink") http://wwww.w3.org/1999/xlink/namespace/
• A set of attributes anchored in that namespace for attaching linking semantic to elements from the document namespace

An XLink processor is expected to detect those contructs so they are handled at the application level.

While XLink allows the author to suggest a behaviour, the processing is really application dependent
